Belarus is ready to take an active part in the restoration and development of the infrastructure in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov said in an interview with Report.

“The liberated territories have fertile land. Thus, their cultivation can make a tangible contribution to the development of the non-oil sector. We are ready to share our experience in this area with our Azerbaijani friends, and we have something to offer… One of the priority areas of cooperation with Azerbaijan may be the construction of rural settlements by analogy with Belarusian agro-towns with all the necessary infrastructure: industrial, social, and transport. In this context, we can offer Azerbaijan our best practices. This approach to the village lifestyle organization has proven its effectiveness in our country,” the envoy said.

The diplomat also noted that the agreements reached by the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia, and the Prime Minister of Armenia to unblock economic and transport links in the region will bring long-term economic benefits to the entire South Caucasus.
