
A memorandum of understanding in the field of energy regulation has today been signed between the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) under the Ministry of Energy and the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERK), Report informs, citing AERA.
The document was signed by Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Management Board of AERA, and Davit Narmania, Chairman of GMETK.
The Memorandum aims to develop and strengthen cooperation on energy regulation, as well as to create favorable conditions for the development of bilateral relations between the agencies.
Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, the parties will share their experiences on regulation in the field of energy, exchange information on the improvement of legislation in this field, and organize training on various training programs, including the regulation of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
