“Egypt and Azerbaijan have very strong relationships. There are many areas of cooperation that are very promising. It includes infrastructure includes oil and gas, the ICT sector and also pharmaceuticals. We are expecting the period ahead to see more cooperation in these areas,” Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt Rania Al-Mashat told AZERTAC.

“So, we look forward to the outcomes of this visit and we also look forward to more cooperation particularly on the business side in the sectors that I mentioned,” the minister said.

“Another very important aspect of cooperation is on COP. Congratulations to Azerbaijan for hosting COP29. Egypt hosted COP27 two years ago, and there are plenty of areas of cooperation including mobilizing finance from the international community for climate action,” she noted.

The Egyptian minister described hosting the COP Conference as an important aspect: “So, we look forward to an active participation at COP29 and we congratulate the Azerbaijani people for hosting COP and we wish them good luck with that very important conference.”
