
As of January 1, 2024, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested 3.624 billion euros in 189 projects in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the EBRD.
Although the number of projects financed by the EBRD in Azerbaijan did not change as of November 23, the investment portfolio has decreased by 127 million euros.
The share of the private sector in the EBRD’s investment portfolio for Azerbaijan remained unchanged at 26%.
Currently, EBRD is running 31 projects in Azerbaijan. The portfolio for these projects is 897 million euros (51 million euros less), operating assets total 679 million euros (35 million euros less), and cumulative payments are 3.029 billion euros (104 million euros less).
According to the revised portfolio, 90%, or 809 million euros (down 46 million euros), fell to the share of infrastructure projects, 7%, or 62 million euros (down 4 million euros), to the share of industry, trade, and agribusiness, and 3%, or 26 million euros (2 million euros less), to the share of financial institutions.
EBRD’s investments in Azerbaijan make up 1% of its total portfolio.
