
As many as 705 historical and cultural monuments in Karabakh and East Zangazur were registered with the state, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture Saadat Yusifova said at the international conference on “Archaeological tourism and sustainable management” organized by the State Tourism Agency, in partnership with the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, held at the Ateshgah Temple State Historical-Architectural Reserve, Report informs.
“Local and foreign specialists are involved in this process. Monuments and sacred places, which were once brutally destroyed by Armenians, have been restored and opened for their real owners. A number of monuments were restored in Shusha, Aghdam, and Zangilan by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The restoration of the mansion complex of Panahali Khan in Aghdam has been completed by the order of the Ministry of Culture,” she said.
