
The death toll from hostilities in the city of Goma, the capital of the North Kivu province in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has climbed to 900, with more than 2,880 people being wounded, the Actualite news portal said, citing the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Report informs via TASS.
The data that was collected thanks to the assistance from the DRC Red Cross and the World Health Organization reflected the situation as of January 31. Previous reports put the number of fatalities at 733.
