The State Automobile Roads Agency of Azerbaijan continues the construction of the Murovdagh tunnel, Report informs.
The Murovdagh ridge begins on the 13.5th km of the Toghanaly-Kalbajar highway. The altitude increases from 1,700 m to 3,250 m at the peak of Murovdagh mountain.
The Murovdagh tunnel will be one of the world’s longest road tunnels; its length will be 11,658 meters, and the width of the roadway will be 12 meters.
“We have been provided with preliminary information from the relevant authorities in the UK. These structures are taking this issue very seriously,” Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, Report informs referring to Haber Global.
“The Charge d’Affaires of the United Kingdom in Baku has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We had a serious conversation. First of all, we expect the UK to guarantee that similar cases against Azerbaijan will not be repeated. This is an obligation of the United Kingdom under the Vienna Convention. Protection of diplomatic missions, security, immunity of diplomats, according to the Vienna Convention, is the direct responsibility of each host country,” the minister stressed.
A one-on-one meeting will be held between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a visit to Konya within the framework of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, Report informs, citing Haber Global.
During the meeting, the two countries’ leaders are expected to discuss in detail the recent provocations committed by Armenia in Karabakh and the “Revenge” operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in response.
It is reported that the heads of state will also discuss the latest situation in the negotiations for the normalization of relations between Turkiye and Armenia, energy security, and other vital issues.
Turkiye gave Ukraine 50 Kirpi armored vehicles, which have already been brought to the front line, Report informs, referring to the foreign press.
According to the information, Turkiye is expected to send 150 more armored vehicles of the same brand to the Ukrainian Army. It is believed that the Turkish Armed Forces gave the vehicles to Ukraine for free.
As reported, the armored vehicles will be used in battles in the direction of Donetsk.
Official Ankara and Kyiv have not released any statements regarding Turkiye’s delivery of military armored vehicles to Ukraine.

The flag of Azerbaijan, which was removed during the attack of a group of radical religious groups on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has been reattached.

Some time ago, the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission was attacked by members of a radical religious group. Eight men have been arrested by the London police after storming the Embassy. They are members of the radical religious group called The Mahdi Servants Union.
In accordance with the plan of the training period for the current year, combat aircraft and helicopters of the Azerbaijan Air Force are carrying out training flights, Report informs, citing Defence Ministry.
During the training, held to improve the military pilots’ combat skills, flights of aircraft are carried out through designated routes.
At the exercises, pilots successfully fulfilled tasks on take-off and landing, performing manoeuvres at low and medium altitudes, determining the coordinates of imaginary enemy’s land-based targets, and conducting aerial reconnaissance.

“The members of the illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is temporarily stationed, grossly violated the provisions of the Statement dated November 10, 2020, and committed acts of terrorist and provocation against the units of the Azerbaijan Army on August 3. As a result of terrorist provocation, our military serviceman Kazimov Anar Rustam was martyred. In addition, the members of illegal Armenian armed groups tried to seize the Girkhgiz height, located in the mountain range covering the territory of Kalbajar and Lachin district, and establish new combat positions there.
“As a result of the retaliatory operation “Revenge” carried out by the units of the Azerbaijani Army, the Girkhgiz, as well as Saribaba heights along the Karabakh ridge of the Lesser Caucasus and a number of other important commanding heights were taken under control. Currently, our divisions are doing engineering work on constructing new positions and supply roads.
“As part of the operation, several positions of the illegal Armenian armed group were destroyed, and dozens of illegal militants were killed and wounded by a missile strike in the Yukhari Oratagh settlement of the former Aghdara district. At the same time, several D-30 howitzers, military vehicles, and a large amount of ammunition were destroyed.
“The Republic of Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that, contrary to the tripartite declaration, the presence of Armenian armed forces and illegal Armenian armed groups in the territories of Azerbaijan, where peacekeepers of the Russian Federation are temporarily stationed, remains a source of danger. The demilitarization of those territories, the complete withdrawal of Armenian troops from there, and the disarmament of illegal Armenian armed elements are absolutely necessary.
“The Ministry of Defense states that following the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, any terror and provocation committed in the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan will be resolutely prevented, and countermeasures will be even more devastating,” the ministry said.
A military vehicle belonging to the members of illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan was destroyed.
Report informs that a military Ural truck was destroyed by a UAV near the Saribaba height.
In accordance with the combat training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, classes of the new training period are being held with units of the Rocket and Artillery Troops, Report informs, citing the ministry.
According to the plan, the units were put on alert and withdrawn from the points of permanent deployment to the assembly areas and took firing positions.
The main objectives of the classes are to improve the command staff’s prompt decision-making abilities, work out fire control in cooperation with other types of troops, and develop servicemen’s practical skills.

A border police helicopter lost control and crashed in Georgia, in the territory of the mountain resort of Gudauri.
