The construction of the cargo airport in Azerbaijan’s Alat Economic Zone is planned to be completed in late 2026, Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), told Report.

According to him, the construction of the cargo airport has already begun: “This airport will create significant advantages for Azerbaijan’s economy and neighboring countries. It will also provide extensive services.”
