A commemorative ceremony and a meeting with veterans were held at the Special Forces on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Patriotic War, which ended with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army, Report informs.
Commander of the Special Forces Lt-Gen Hikmat Mirzayev and veterans attended the ceremony. First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs, who fell for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was commemorated with a minute of silence. The national anthem was played. The participants in the ceremony laid flowers at the bust of great leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument to the Special Forces.
Along with today’s commemorative events, the Special Forces continue to work to improve combat readiness. Many training are currently underway.
