For the first time in two and a half years, Chinese authorities have identified a coronavirus outbreak in the Tibet Autonomous Region, said the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Report informs via TASS.

Over the past day, doctors registered 22 cases of coronavirus infection in the region.

According to the commission, 21 of the identified cases are asymptomatic. There has been no recorded coronavirus infection in Tibet for more than 920 days.
