China urges US to lift sanctions on quake-hit Syria

China calls on the United States to lift sanctions on Syria, which was hit by a devastating earthquake, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said, Report informs via Russian media.

“Amid the catastrophe, the US must abandon its geopolitical obsessions, lift unilateral sanctions on Syria immediately, and open the door to humanitarian aid,” she said.
