Countries in Central Asia should intensify their efforts to promote inter-civilizational interaction, according to Guzel Maitdinova, Director of the Center for Geopolitical Studies at the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University.
According to Report, Maitdinova shared her insights during a video conference connecting Astana, Moscow, Bishkek, Tashkent, and Dushanbe, hosted by the Sputnik Kazakhstan multimedia press center.
Maitdinova pointed out that Tajikistan is the only non-Turkic speaking nation among the Central Asian countries.
“In the context of uniting the interests of the entire Central Asian region, the Turkic-speaking countries have found a closer format of interaction,” she noted, adding that this raises the question of whether there will be a civilizational divide between these nations and Tajikistan.
