Azerbaijani commercial banks can issue long-term bonds, Fuad Isayev, Director of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said at the II Agribusiness Forum held in Baku.
According to Isayev, this is an issue arising from the development of the capital market:
“Here another question arises: Do they currently have a customer base for long-term investment in the national currency?”
From today, only the dividends, discount and interest incomes on publicly offered stocks and bonds traded on the regulated market have been exempted from taxation for five years.
