As part of the 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), held in Baku from September 29 to October 2, meetings with delegations of international organizations and foreign countries continue, Report informs via the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.
Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev held a meeting with the delegation led by Attorney General of Brunei Darussalam Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib.
Kamran Aliyev noted the friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brunei Darussalam, emphasizing that thanks to the joint efforts and political will of the leaders of both countries, relations between the two countries are successfully developing both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations, in particular in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Non-Aligned Movement.
The prosecutor general of Azerbaijan emphasized the historical significance of holding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan and added that on November 15, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, together with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), will organize a high-level plenary session on “Mobilizing Law Enforcement to Combat Climate Change”, inviting the delegation of Brunei Darussalam to participate in this important event.
The attorney general of Brunei Darussalam expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confidence in the further successful development of bilateral relations, highly appreciating the existing cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries.
