British companies are interested in the implementation of green energy projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan said, Report informs.
Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan. He noted that the economic cooperation between the two countries is expanding, various documents signed by the parties create favorable conditions for the active participation of British investors in different areas of Azerbaijan’s economy, and the UK is the leader in terms of investments in Azerbaijan.
The minister said that great importance is attached to the open dialogue and broad exchange of ideas with business representatives, including the British Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan. The Chamber contributes to the development of relations between the two countries and effective cooperation in improving the business environment.
Nicholson said that her country is interested in the development of economic and trade relations with Azerbaijan and new areas of cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on the projects implemented in the field of energy, the creation of a working group between the Ministry of Economy and the British Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan, and the participation of British companies in the projects implemented in the liberated territories.
