
A legal framework for interaction between the Caspian states is being created, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a meeting of the Caspian states’ foreign ministers in Moscow, Report informs.
“I am confident that our current meeting will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of cooperation around the Caspian Sea, and will facilitate a thorough exchange of views on the implementation of decisions of the heads of the Caspian states adopted at past summits of the countries of the region, and will bring closer the positions of the parties on all open issues within the framework of the Caspian theme,” he said.
According to him, the main task of the Caspian negotiation process is the speedy completion of the approval of draft agreements on the methodology for establishing direct baselines in the Caspian Sea.
