The Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, which connects Poland with the Norwegian shelf through Denmark, has started operating.

“In line with the promise we made six years ago, we kept our word. Today at 06:10, gas transmission to Poland via the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline began,” the operator of the Polish gas pipeline network Gaz-System said in a statement.

As the company added, the daily order for October 1, 2022 is 62.4 million kWh.

The official opening ceremony of the gas pipeline took place in Poland on Tuesday. However, it is only now that it has begun to operate on a commercial basis.
