
In the morning hours of February 12, powerful rocket attacks rocked several Ukrainian cities, primarily the capital Kyiv.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces told Report that 6 ballistic missiles were destroyed in the air: “Six rockets were fired from Russia’s Bryansk region and 1 from Crimea. The interception of six Iskander-M ballistic missiles was recorded. There were also 123 drone attacks, of which 71 were shot down, and 40 more drones were neutralized without any consequences.”
The attacks covered Ukraine’s Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Poltava, and Chernihiv oblasts.
Pavlo Petrov, an official from Ukraine’s Emergency Services (ES), told Report that most of the attacks targeted Kyiv: “In the Obolonskyi district, unfortunately, one person died as a result of the strikes, 4 people were injured, including a 9-year-old child who is currently in the hospital. The fires have been extinguished. The explosive remnants from the rockets are being neutralized.”
