The Delegation of the European Union in Azerbaijan is launching a campaign dedicated to the European Year of Youth, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Peter Michalko said at a press conference.

According to him, the EU has declared this year the year of youth because of the obstacles that young people have faced during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We want Azerbaijani youth to know about the EU’s activities in this direction. Our goal is to develop cooperation with the government, with educational institutions and civil society. We are proud of the revival that we see now – more and more teachers and students are participating in Erasmus + projects. We see an increase in the number of applications this year, and 664 schools in Azerbaijan have benefited from the EU Twınnıng program.”
