“Baku Steel Company” CJSC (BSC), the largest metallurgical company in the Caucasus region, received an award in the nomination “Active Exporter of Private Sector” by the State Tax Service, administered the Ministry of Economy. The award was presented by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and the Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Bagirov to BSC’s CEO Kamal Ibrahimov.

K.Ibrahimov expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Economy represented by the State Tax Service for the recognition of the company’s achievements.

Committed presence in export markets over the last 23 years, manufacturing quality products in compliance with international standards, as well as active expansion into new markets contributed to obtaining this award. The company’s management noted that this achievement is not only a success for BSC, but also an important indicator of the government’s support for economic development and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing volume of exports. It was noted that this award will serve as an incentive for the company’s further development and will contribute to expanding export potential of the steel industry of Azerbaijan.

This award is a recognition of BSC’s successful achievements in one of its strategic priorities – transforming Azerbaijan’s metallurgical industry into one of the flagship sectors of the country’s non-oil economy.

BSC was ranked among the 50 largest taxpayers in Azerbaijan in 2024. Over the past year, the company has paid 26.7 million manats in taxes to the state budget.
