Addressing the event, the Egyptian ambassador highlighted his country’s tourism potential. He said the Egyptian government put all the necessary measures in place to ensure the country’s security and stability.

Ahmed Ibrahim said his country was ready to welcome Azerbaijani tourists who want to get acquainted with the ancient Egyptian culture.

The ambassador said the newly-launched direct flight would be instrumental in expanding tourism relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan.

The Baku-Sharm el-Sheikh flight will be operated by SCAT Airlines on Boeing 757-200 liners once a week on Thursdays.
