Azerenergy is conducting reconstruction and repair work at six modular power plants alongside the country’s thermal and hydropower plants.
Teymur Abdullayev- head of Public Relations and Media Center department of Azerenergy reported to “Report.”
It is emphasized that considerable progress has been attained in recovering the “lost” power: “before the adoption of the “Rehabilitation Program” in fall 2018, 12 out of 72 units in 6 modular power plants were entirely out of service, while others were functioning partially. After the replacement of failed ones and reinstatement of main working components imported from abroad and repairment of other units, reconstruction, overhaul, and restoration work was finished in all six modular power plants.
As a result of the course of actions, 95 MW at “Sangachal,” 20 MW at “Baku,” 15 MW at “Shahdag,” 47 MW at “Khachmaz,” 40 MW at “Astara,” and 39 MW at “Shaki” Power Stations, comprising in total 256 megawatts of “lost” power has been restored.
