Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov recently met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during his working visit to Tehran, Report informs, referring to the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.
Prime Minister Asadov conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to President Pezeshkian.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on strengthening Azerbaijani-Iranian relations based on the principles of friendship and good neighborliness. They also discussed enriching their mutually beneficial cooperation with new initiatives.
The sides also reviewed issues related to the implementation of projects between Azerbaijan and Iran in transport, energy, and oil and gas fields.
The importance of the 3rd Caspian Economic Forum was emphasized, and it was reiterated that Azerbaijan views the Caspian Sea as a symbol of peace, friendship, and cooperation.
Current issues, considering the new realities in the region, were also discussed.
