Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has prepared a video on the occasion of January 20 – Day of National Mourning.

In accordance with the combat training plan for 2022 approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carried out training flights, Report informs.

According to the Defense Ministry, theoretical and practical knowledge of servicemen, as well as their ability to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in simulators, were tested.

As part of the exercises, crews of unmanned aerial vehicles conducted ground reconnaissance at various altitudes, determined the coordinates of imaginary enemy ground targets and transmitted the received information to control points.

The main objectives of the exercises, held with consideration of combat experience gained in the Patriotic War, are to improve the practical skills of the crews.

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland received a delegation led by President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARAF) Elchin Guliyev at Windsor Castle, Report informs.

According to ARAF, Her Majesty the Queen, who has always watched with great interest the performances of Azerbaijani representatives at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which is traditionally organized in honor of members of the royal family, was presented with a gift from President Ilham Aliyev – the Karabakh horse named Şöhrət (“Glory”).

The horse presented to the Queen was brought to Windsor Castle and handed over to the new owner with a certificate containing all the information.

Later, the statues of Karabakh named Alkhan and Dilbaz named Shield created by the famous Azerbaijani sculptor Faig Hajiyev were presented to Her Majesty the Queen.

Her Majesty Elizabeth II thanked for the gift and traditional participation in the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

At the end of the theoretical classes, the artillerymen professionally fulfilled tasks on firing at the designated targets of an imaginary enemy.

In accordance with the training plan for 2022, the Land Forces held competitions for the title of the best SPG-9 and AGS-17 (AGS-30) grenade launcher personnel.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Defense, that the theoretical knowledge of the servicemen was tested before the shooting. Then servicemen passed standards for physical training, tactical training, and engineering training.

During the six-stage competitions, the personnel demonstrated their skills in destroying various targets of an imaginary enemy from tripod-mounted anti-tank grenade launchers, as well as shooting from automatic tripod-mounted grenade launchers with semi-direct pointing.

The main objectives of the competitions are to check the level of training of military personnel and improve their practical skills, as well as awarding servicemen who distinguished themselves in combat training.
