On June 5, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation from the Israeli Knesset, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The Knesset is represented by a delegation led by Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Yoel Edelstein, Diplomatic Affairs Committee Chairman Sarah Zwebner and Committee member Ram Ben Barak.
Topical issues on the agenda of multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, including the events taking place in the region, were discussed at the meeting.
During the meeting, the role of the Jewish community was emphasized as a special factor influencing the development of relations between the two countries.
The meeting also saw an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
