
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Bulgarian National Assembly Speaker Nikola Minchev on May 31 as part of his official visit to Bulgaria, MFA told Report.
Minchev noted that the visit would make a positive contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
Bayramov said that parliamentary size is an important aspect of bilateral relations. He presented a congratulatory letter from Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova to Nikola Minchev on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
It was noted at the meeting that the two countries have prospects for cooperation in energy, economy, humanitarian, as well as education and culture, as well as tourism.
Bayramov thanked the Bulgarian National Assembly for adopting a declaration on the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. The Minister briefed the other side on the situation in the region after the conflict, the restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated areas.
