The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Latvia participated in the traditional international charity fair held in Riga, Report informs.

Diplomatic missions accredited in Latvia, as well as local institutions, were represented at the event organized by the Riga International Women’s Club.

Souvenirs reflecting the culture and history of the country and national costumes were displayed at the Azerbaijani stand at the charity fair, and various publications related to Azerbaijan were exhibited and distributed. At the same time, Azerbaijani products, delicious dishes of national cuisine, and colorful examples of Azerbaijan’s kalaghayi art, included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, were showcased.

A video clip on the nature, culture, and tourism of Azerbaijan made by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also played at the event.

Former Latvian president Raimonds Vejonis and other guests visited the Azerbaijan stand, which was one of the most visited and interesting stands at the fair.
