As a result of demining activities carried out by the Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units, the next mines buried by the opposing side in the territory of the Kalbajar and Dashkasan regions were detected, according to the country’s Defense Ministry.
It should be noted that according to International humanitarian law, the 1997 Ottawa Convention prohibits the production, stockpiling, transfer, and use of anti-personnel mines.
Despite this, a significant number of Armenian-made mines are detected in the liberated territories after the Patriotic War. In particular, anti-personnel mines, buried with the purpose of causing human casualties, pose a serious danger to the lives of both civilians and servicemen.
The Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units continue activities on demining the Azerbaijani territories.
In accordance with the combat training plan for 2022, several activities on transferring weapons, combat and special equipment into the autumn-winter operation mode are being held in the Azerbaijan Army.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Defense, that all military units are provided with fuel and lubricants, other necessary spare parts, and equipment in a centralized manner to ensure the uninterrupted and stable operation of weapons and equipment, including aircraft during the autumn-winter season.
As part of the activities, the replacement of fuel and lubricants for vehicles is being carried out in accordance with the seasonal requirements, as well as the operability of electrical and hydraulic systems is being checked.
In accordance with the norms, food supplies, warm clothing, and fuel reserves, as well as weapons and ammunition for military personnel that is on combat duty are being delivered to the units. Servicemen serving in mountainous areas with harsh climatic conditions are provided with extra supplies.
The provision work and the maintenance of equipment will contribute to increasing the military units’ combat capability and allowing military personnel to serve without any difficulties during the autumn-winter period.
According to the 2022 plan, the underwater attack and underwater defense units of the special marine battalions of the Azerbaijan Navy (HDG) and Turkish Navy special forces are conducting joint training in the city of Marmaris, Turkiye, Report informs, referring to the Ministry of Defense.
In the exercise held at the Aksaz naval base, the military personnel of both brotherly countries will carry out tasks on developing land and sea tactics, searching for unexploded ammunition and sea mines, and destroying them.
According to the plan, the training participants will carry out individual and group tactical shootings in day and night conditions, joint marches, ambushes, and raids in mixed groups, as well as long-distance underwater swimming tasks using special underwater breathing apparatus in the sea.
The training will continue until October 14.
On October 3, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation led by the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Benjamin Gantz, the Defense Ministry told Report.
The delegation is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
Before the meeting, the Israeli delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs and paid tribute to the memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

The meeting discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the military and military-technical spheres, the organization of working meetings at the level of military specialists of different qualifications, and other issues of mutual interest.
In accordance with the scenario of the exercises, helicopters that departed from the base airfields professionally fulfilled the tasks of destroying an imaginary enemy’s land-based targets at the training ground and protecting aircraft from terrorist-sabotage groups.
The assigned tasks were successfully fulfilled during the exercises held to improve the skills of helicopter crews and paratroopers in organizing combat operations, including managing forces in battle.
The new electronic service introduced by the State Customs Committee will facilitate the process of paperwork when importing vehicles into the country.

The National air Carrier of Azerbaijan is starting to introduce an entertainment system on board of aircraft according to a new principle. From now on, passengers will be able to use their mobile devices (phones and tablets) to connect to the aircraft’s multimedia network via Wi-Fi, after which they will be able to watch hundreds of feature films, documentaries and animated films/series, sports and show programs, as well as a range of content of various type on their own gadget.

Initially, the system will be available on-board Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.

More than 1,400 people have been detained in the protests against mobilization that were staged in Russia on September 21.
Report informs, citing Russian media, that according to the human rights activists, most detentions were recorded in Petersburg – 565 people, Moscow – 536 people and Yekaterinburg – 48 people.

In line with the combat training plan for 2022, approved by the minister of defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Command-Staff Exercises are being held at the Azerbaijani Naval Forces, Report informs referring to the Defense Ministry.
