Immediately after the meeting with J. Bayramov, Pompeo will also meet with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
I did not want to go to war, because I knew that Karabakh is the land of Azerbaijan, but not Armenia”, captivated Armenian serviceman Valera Hayrapetyan said.
“I am from Khankendi, I was born there in 1997. After military service, seeing the situation in the country, understanding how people were deceived, I decided to go to Russia with my family. I worked there. On September 1, I came to Khankendi for work. After a while, military operations began”, he said.
I did not want to go to war because I knew that Karabakh was the land of Azerbaijan, but not Armenia. On September 27, I was called up to military service. When I refused to go, they came to the next day and threatened me with arrest.
I was taken to the front line – Hadrut. Then they said that it is necessary to withdraw. There were about 400 people there, and then we were sent in different directions. We went in the direction of Fuzuli. We came under fire there. I ran immediately. I realized that I did not come here to fight, I had to avoid bullets. 7 people joined me. We started to cross the mountains. We did not know where to go. The next morning I heard the voices of Azerbaijani servicemen. We told them that we did not want to fight and that this was not our territory. We just said we wanted to surrender and live. They took us and brought us. Now I think everything is going well.
I appeal to the Armenian people. Brothers and sisters, we do not have to fight for things that do not belong to us. Do not send your sons and your husbands to die in vain. “
In addition, the Armenian serviceman noted that those who want to live in Karabakh can live within Azerbaijan, as before, we lived as neighbors. I am treated very well here.
The Azerbaijani Army destroyed the military forces and equipment of Armenia during the counter-offensive operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
Note, a ceasefire was agreed between Azerbaijan and Armenia starting from 00:00 on October 18, 2020 for humanitarian purposes for the exchange of prisoners of war and other detained persons and bodies of the dead, mediated and in accordance with the criteria of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
An Armenian prisoner of war, junior sergeant Mikayelyan Albert Yervandi admitted that Armenia deployed Kurdish mercenaries to the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region.
He said about 1,500 mercenaries were trained to fight against the Azerbaijani Army. According to the captive, each mercenary are paid $600 a month, and they are undergoing training in groups of 10-15 people.
Born in 2001 in Artik town of Armenia’s Shirak province, Albert Mikayelyan, was drafted on December 19, 2019 and served in the military in Gyumri. After 6-month of training to use Fagot, he was promoted to junior sergeant. Six months later, he was sent to a military unit in Martuni.
“In Martuni I served in an anti-tank platoon which was regularly undergoing training. The 1,500-member platoon included conscripts and Kurdish mercenaries. The mercenaries were paid $600 a month, and they were speaking in only their language.
A 15-member group of mercenaries was preparing for battle,” the prisoner of war added.
Armenian captives who surrendered to the Azerbaijani Army during the fighting appealed to his nation.
Retired police major Edic Solakovich Tonoyan was born in 1975 in the village of Mestavan, Kalinino region of Armenia, worked in the Kalinin district police department until 2018, and retired in 2018 as a major.
“Afterwards, I have been in Russia for two years to earn money. In 2020, I could not go to Russia with my family to earn money due to coronavirus. I had to stay in Armenia. I was also involved in construction work here. When the war with Azerbaijan broke out on September 27, my son and I were taken to the military commissariat. We agreed at the military commissariat that I would go to military service instead of my son, and I would serve in Armenia. I didn’t want to go to Karabakh, because this is not our land. If necessary, I said that I was ready to serve Armenia, but I didn’t want to serve Karabakh. I was sent to the outpost in Alaverdi district. I was on post there for a few days. From there, servicemen were sent to serve on the border with Azerbaijan to fight there. There I was told that I had to serve in another military unit in Armenia. I and another person were taken to Yerevan, where ‘KamAZ’ with people inside was waiting for us. There were 33 people in the car. They promised not to take us to Karabakh. We know that Karabakh is not our land and we don’t need to go there. They continued to promise that we would serve in Armenia,” he said.
“When we arrived in Gorus, the car stopped and we were given machine guns. We didn’t want to take the weapon. However, we were told that this may be necessary for security and self-defense. So, we were taken to the territory of Azerbaijan- Horadiz region. There they showed us where we had to dig a trench. We started digging trenches. When the bombing started, we ran away. Other 33 people who were with me, as well as the 15 who were serving there when we arrived, were all young. They all ran but I could not run with them. I decided to surrender. I threw my machine gun and surrendered to the Azerbaijani Army. ”
The house of the Shahnazarovs collapsed due to a rocket attack by Armenian armed forces on October 17 in Ganja.
According to the Western Center of Report, only one family member, Khadija Shahnazarova, born in 2017, survived the destruction caused by the missile launched from Armenia’s territory.
The girl’s father, Royal, mother, Zuleykha, and sister, Maryam, were Armenian terror victims.
Now the only heiress of the Shakhnazarov family is taken care of by relatives. Khadija, who is unaware of happening, looks for her loved ones and calls only her mother.
Investigations conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the territories occupied by the Armenian armed forces have identified individuals and legal entities engaged in illegal mining in the occupied territories, as well as in the exploitation of gold and other metal ore deposits, sturgeon, and black caviar sales, electricity production, illegal watch sales, and banking activities.
We declare that the application of effective measures within the criminal law against persons engaged in illegal economic and other activities in our occupied territories is monitored regularly by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In order to prevent such illegal actions, informative videos in French, Spanish, German, Russian, English, and Arabic were prepared in connection with the cases when the economic activity of foreign citizens in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan may be considered illegal. Provisions of the criminal law on illegal economic activities were also reflected in the videos.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan will take efficient measures under international law against individuals and legal entities engaged in illegal economic and other activities in the territories occupied by the Armenian armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The French TV channel TF1 broadcasted an exclusive reportage from the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh on the current situation in Azerbaijan, the bravery of the Azerbaijani army, targeting civilians and infrastructure and the bombing of a residential area in Ganja by the Armenian Armed Forces.
TF1 TV journalist Liseron Budul has been to the front line and Azerbaijani soldiers told her that the Armenians had fled leaving their weapons and ammunition. They stressed that the Azerbaijani Army will go to the end and liberate every inch of our lands.
The reportage shows how people, young people and children holding the Azerbaijani and Turkish flags are in a festive mood, chanting “Karabakh, Karabakh.”
The journalist also highlighted that Azerbaijan, which is rich in natural resources, has a strong army.
“People, who live near the front line, experience difficulties in their daily lives and have been targeted by the Armenian Armed Forces. Therefore, women and children found shelter in underground trenches”, the reportage states.
The Armenian Army’s shelling of cities deliberately targeting civilians was also discussed in the reportage showing that these shelling killed and wounded civilians and destroyed their houses and livestock.
The journalist also mentioned the missile attacks launched from Armenia to the residential areas in the center of Ganja pointing to the destroyed houses. She emphasized that Armenia’s missile attacks killed 15 people, including children and women and wounded more than 50 civilians.
TF1 TV channel’s 3-minute reportage on Azerbaijan was a big blow to the Armenian lobby. Members of the Armenian lobby made insulting comments and threats about TF1 TV channel on social media. This reportage once again proved that the Armenian lobby was spreading fake news and misinformation.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Turkey Seref Malkoc.
Welcoming the guest, President Ilham Aliyev said:
– Hello and welcome!
Seref Malkoc: Good to see you!
President Ilham Aliyev: I am pleased to welcome you. In the current situation, your presence in Azerbaijan is of particular importance. As you know, Armenia has committed yet another act of aggression against Azerbaijan, another act of terrorism. It has committed war crimes against both our civilians and our servicemen. I know that you will go to Ganja during this visit. You will see for yourself what savage enemy we are facing. They cannot confront us on the battlefield and try to make up for this bitter defeat by shelling civilians. Two cowardly attacks on Ganja and the hitting of Ganja with ballistic missiles are war crimes. The Armenian leadership will be held accountable for this crime. This is a deliberate crime. They specifically targeted the civilian population. As you know, we have many casualties, including children, women and the elderly. This once again shows the predatory nature of Armenian fascism. This shows once again that by breaking the back of Armenian fascism, we will save our region from great troubles and great tragedies.
At the same time, all our frontline towns and villages come under fire every day. According to the information provided to me today, 190 shells hit Tartar district alone from 6 to 8 o’clock in the morning. More than 90 shells hit Aghdam district. There have been days when 2,000 shells landed in Tartar district. So they want to destroy our cities, they want to break the will of the Azerbaijani people. But they fail and become even more depraved. We take our revenge on the battlefield. We have never taken and will never take any action against civilians. Although they are firing on our ancient historical city of Ganja, we are not and will not fire on Armenian cities or the cities of Nagorno-Karabakh. Our superiority is manifested further through these moral values and shows the whole world again that Armenia poses a huge threat to the world. The criminal and fascist regime in Armenia is the biggest threat to our region, and Azerbaijan is doing its best to eliminate this threat. Good news comes from the frontline every day. We liberate new cities and villages from occupiers every day. The victorious Azerbaijani Army is fulfilling its glorious mission.
Your visit to Azerbaijan today is of great importance. As you know, brotherly Turkey has supported us from the first hours. Dear President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, my dear brother said from the first hours that Turkey stands by Azerbaijan. Other high-ranking Turkish officials have made similar statements. The Turkish people support us. The conflict is widely covered in the Turkish media. Azerbaijan’s legitimate case is communicated to the world through the Turkish media. This is also very important. Unfortunately, the media of many countries unilaterally side with Armenia. This is a great injustice. This is fraud. This is a distortion of events. Attempts to portray Azerbaijan as an aggressor or occupier have no basis, of course. Therefore, the presence of Turkish media here from the first days and their reports from the war zone serve to provide accurate information on this issue to the world.
Also, we have been proving to the international community over the years, and I think we have been able to prove that, we are right and that we have been invaded. The footage of our liberated cities and villages shows what savages we are facing. There is not a single surviving building in these cities, in these villages, in most of them. The city of Fuzuli has been completely destroyed. We could not find a safe building to raise the Azerbaijani flag there, but this ceremony was held at last. The buildings of all our villages have been destroyed, our mosques have been destroyed. The whole world saw images of a destroyed mosque in a village in Zangilan on the Internet yesterday. They kept pigs in that mosque. They have insulted our mosques. They have destroyed all our historical sites. There are only stones left of houses. All roofs, windows and belongings have been looted.
Unfortunately, they invaded our lands with foreign support in the early 1990s. In the current situation too, we see that they are receiving help from abroad. Mercenaries are sent there. A lot of weaponry is sent there. Nevertheless, we are breaking the back of this ugly regime. We continue our just cause. We have a brotherly country such as Turkey by our side. We are always together. Thank you again and welcome!

Turkish Chief Ombudsman Seref Malkoc said:
– Good to see you, Mr. President. Thank you very much for taking the time to receive us despite your busy schedule. Thank you!
Azerbaijani lands have been under occupation for 30 years. Despite all the negotiations, there has been no progress for 30 years. This is why the struggle you are waging today is fair, it is a struggle for law, a struggle in the field of human rights – to drive the occupiers out of your homeland. This is the most natural and legitimate right of international law, of human conscience and human morality. You do it extraordinarily well.
Your statements every evening about how many villages and cities have been liberated from occupation bring joy and happiness to people all over Turkey.
As the Ombudsman of Turkey, I also chair the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) Ombudsmen Association.
As a result of the investigations conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in recent days, it was revealed that members of various terrorist organizations, including foreign nationals illegally crossed the state border through Armenia, entered the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan and formed illegal armed groups participating in the aggressive war against Azerbaijan as mercenaries, according to press service of Azerbaijan Prosecutor General’s Office.
Prosecutor General’s Office has prepared educational videos in French, Spanish, German, Russian, English and Arabic in order to prevent such illegal activities.
Foreign citizens are required not to participate as mercenaries in the aggressive war against the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the occupation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Army destroyed a large number of military equipment and manpower of the Armenian Armed Forces, according to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
Note, since September 27, at about 06:00, the Armenian Armed Forces committed military provocation against Azerbaijan shelling the positions of the Azerbaijan Army along the entire length of the front and targeting settlements and demilitarized zones, as well as non-military clearly visible and distinguishable objects, including the civilian population, located in the frontline zone and cities and regions far from the front line with missiles, large-caliber weapons, mortars, and artillery mounts of various calibers.
Azerbaijani servicemen reported to President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev on the liberation of Zangilan city.
The report reads:
“Dear Mr. President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I report that the city of Zangilan and surrounding areas have been liberated from occupation under your order. Currently, the Azerbaijani flag flies. Long live Azerbaijan! Long live Supreme Commander-in-Chief! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
