Azerbaijan sent 17 more transformers and over 52,000 meters of cable to Ukraine, Alasgar Hasanov, Head of Department at Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry, told journalists, Report informs.
He noted that, under Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s relevant decree, the humanitarian aid sent in two batches includes over 52,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 17 transformers:
“Funds in the manat equivalent of one million US dollars were allocated for organizing the aid, and the batch was sent on February 7, 2025. The total amount of reconstruction and humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has exceeded $40 million.”
To date, electrical equipment, including 134 transformers and complete transformer stations, around 70 generators, and approximately 3.4 million meters of electrical cables and wires, have been sent to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
