A total of 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan in the first eight months of 2024, marking an increase of 2.5% or 0.8 million cubic meters year-on-year, Report informs, citing the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Between January-August 2024, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, representing a 12.1% or 0.7 billion cubic meters drop compared to the same period last year.
Of the total volume, 8.7 billion cubic meters were produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block, 18.1 billion cubic meters from the Shah Deniz field, and 1.1 billion cubic meters from the Absheron field.
