Azerbaijan presented its initiatives included in the Action Agenda of the COP29 Presidency within the framework of the Climate Conference in Bonn, Germany, on June 12, Report informs.

COP29 Lead Negotiator, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev, who delivered the opening speech, thanked the representatives for their participation in the informal consultations on the strategy of the COP29 Presidency held last week.

Rafiyev noted that the COP29 Presidency initiatives aim to develop climate action and promote civic engagement.

He added that these initiatives strengthen real solidarity for the green world outside official negotiations.

“This year’s Presidency initiatives build on the valuable legacy of previous ones. The Presidency aims to create alignment and synergy between initiatives and stakeholders to mobilize all efforts for our common goals,” he said.
