Azerbaijan and Moldova have prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of renewable energy.

The issue was discussed during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev and Minister of Energy of Moldova Victor Parlicov, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry.

At the meeting, it was noted that the development of green energy is one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan and the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan this year, will create important opportunities for discussions with partner countries on climate change and energy efficiency.

It was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova are developing, and the economic agenda is expanding.

The parties emphasized that the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova is an effective platform for strengthening cooperation and coordinating efforts in business.
