Azerbaijan has liberated its lands from the 28-year occupation in 44 days, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Erdogan made the remarks Sunday during a ceremony marking the 37th anniversary of foundation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Conveying his greetings to Azerbaijan from Northern Cyprus, the Turkish leader said TRNC President Ersin Tatar will soon visit Azerbaijan.
“After 28 years, the Azerbaijanis are beginning to return to their native lands. As long as we are united, we can overcome any problems and obstacles. May Allah have mercy upon our martyrs, thanks to whom we are able to live in these glorious days,” Erdogan added.
