Regular bus service Barda-Khankandi has been launched in Azerbaijan, the Karabakh bureau of Report informs.
The first regular bus departed from the bus station of Barda city to Khankandi today, on September 14.
The Barda-Khankandi route will be operated three times a day. Buses will depart from Barda daily at 7:00 (GMT+4), 11:30 and 16:30. The route will be served by buses with a high level of comfort.
Spokesperson for the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) Tural Orujov reported that the fare on the route will be 2.80 manats ($1.65).
“As part of the Great Return program, the Land Transport Agency of Azerbaijan has organized another bus service to the liberated territories from today. The intermediate point on the Barda-Khankandi route will be the city of Khojaly. Ticket prices: 2.80 manats to Khankandi and 2.50 manats ($1.47) to Khojaly,” he added.
Tural Orujov also noted that in order to travel to Khankandi, it is necessary to comply with certain conditions when purchasing tickets.
“Tickets can be purchased online through the biletim.az portal. It is important to note that when purchasing tickets online through the portal, obtaining permits in accordance with the issuance rules regarding entry into the territories liberated from occupation is mandatory. Without this permit, entry into the territory will be impossible,” Orujov added.
