From the very beginning of the discussions, Armenia has constantly hindered the signing of the peace treaty, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to Report.
The foreign minister noted that he informed his Russian counterpart about the ongoing unconstructive position of Armenia on the issue of signing a peace treaty.
“As you know, from the very beginning of the discussions, Armenia has constantly hindered the signing of the treaty. We have observed various obstacles that the Armenian side has constantly created within the framework of this process. At the initial stage, it was throwing in some ideas, attempts to attach some frameworks to this agreement and divert from the essence of the negotiations. The Armenian side refused even to participate in the discussion of a peace treaty in Russia,” Bayramov said.
At the same time, according to the Foreign Minister, Azerbaijan, being aimed at a real result, is trying to use all opportunities to advance the process of negotiations on a peace treaty.
