
Austria no longer plans to sign contracts for gas supplies from Russia, Alfred Stern, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of OMV, an Austrian multinational integrated oil, gas and petrochemical company, said in an interview with the Neue Zürcher Zeitung newspaper, Report informs.
The CEO highlighted that they needed time for diversification and Russia is not an option for Austria anymore.
Stern also mentioned that in the current gas market conditions, it is impossible to precisely track the origin of liquefied natural gas (LNG). However, he emphasized that the concern has only signed LNG supply contracts with non-Russian partners.
