Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu has met with Australia’s new ambassador to Russia Graeme Meehan.

Bulbuloglu congratulated his counterpart on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activity.

Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu hailed the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Australia, pointing to a wide potential for further development of interstate relations.

The Azerbaijani ambassador also highlighted his activity as a dean of the diplomatic corps accredited in Russia.

Polad Bulbuloglu provided an insight into the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its consequences adding that the soonest settlement of the conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will have a direct influence on establishing peace and stability in the region.

The two stressed the importance of joint fight against threats and challenges facing the world countries and the serious need for adherence to the norms adopted in modern international relations.
