Libyan armed forces will leave Tripoli within a month, said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Government of National Unity (GNU) of Libya, Imad Trabelsi, Report informs referring to TASS.

“The armed groups will leave Tripoli and return to their barracks within a month,” he said. According to the minister, the faction leaders “welcomed the security plan and the withdrawal of forces” from the capital.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the government delayed the withdrawal because it was preoccupied with the problem of ensuring the security of the Ras Jdir border crossing on the border with Tunisia, where clashes occurred in March.
