Landmines in Karabakh, which are the consequences of the war, have caused great harm to the flora and fauna of the region, Vugar Suleymanov, chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), said at an international event “Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Integration: Energy, Economy, Environment and Equity” in Azerbaijan’s Shusha, Report informs.

He noted that environmental pollution leads to climate change, and this, in turn, is a threat to sustainable development.

“Mine pollution has a negative impact on the development of the entire region,” he added.
