Azerbaijan is currently developing an artificial intelligence (AI) strategy with special emphasis on identifying priority sectors where AI technology implementation can significantly improve their efficiency, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the plenary session of the international Digital Almaty forum on January 31, Report informs.

“We are developing Azerbaijan’s artificial intelligence strategy. We place special importance on identifying priority sectors where AI technology implementation can significantly improve efficiency. These are primarily healthcare, transport, and education. We also pay special attention to developing and implementing modern and flexible legislation [in this field],” said the prime minister.

According to him, in particular, a legal framework has been created for using various documents in digital format.

“This simplifies citizens’ interaction with government agencies and contributes to creating a convenient and accessible digital ecosystem,” he said.

Asadov emphasized that Azerbaijan gives primary importance to digital development as a crucial element of state strategy.
