The government of Azerbaijan is a genuine supporter of the multilateral system approach to combating climate change, stated Alessandra Roccasalvo, the UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, during a panel session on the second day of Pre-COP29 in Baku, according to Report.

“We are here to fight climate change, but it must be done in a modern way that benefits the population, enhances people’s skills, and gives them hope for the future,” Roccasalvo emphasized. She expressed her gratitude to Azerbaijan for being a true advocate of the multilateral system, acknowledging that it is not an easy stance to take in current times.
