The Airports Council International (ACI) takes pride in welcoming Azerbaijan’s airports as new members of the organization, according to Luis Felipe de Oliveira, the Director General of ACI.

According to Report, in a statement to journalists, de Oliveira emphasized that the inclusion of Azerbaijan’s airports will enable ACI to further develop air connectivity in the region, including Central Asia.

“We are a global organization, uniting airports and representing around 2,100 airports worldwide, which accounts for approximately 95% of global traffic. Airports play a crucial role in the development of society, and it is essential for us to collaborate with their navigation providers. We are an ecosystem that provides services to roughly 10% of the global economy. Our members play a key role in ensuring a sustainable future for aviation,” he stated.
