Somali police confirmed Tuesday that five people were killed and 10 others wounded in a roadside blast in the national capital of Mogadishu, Report informs, citing Xinhua.

“The landmine was planted along the road in Heliwa District, targeting passengers of a minibus and a motorcycle taxi,” the police said in a statement, blaming al-Shabab for the latest attack in the capital.

The police said an investigation was underway to determine the motive for the attack after the wounded were rushed to hospitals.
