
Four people died and seven others were injured in a crash involving a van and a cargo truck near Vidin in Northwestern Bulgaria, the Interior Ministry said, Report informs via BTA.
The accident occurred around 9 pm Initial reports suggest that the van did not give way to the truck at a traffic-sign-controlled intersection. Teams from the Interior Ministry, ambulance services, and the fire brigade were dispatched immediately.
The 48-year-old van driver and two male passengers died at the scene. Seven others were taken to the hospital, and one later died from their injuries. Two of the injured are in serious condition.
The 55-year-old truck driver was also hospitalized in Vidin with fractures, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
