
The Embassy of Ukraine in Baku organized an event marking the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Speaking at the event, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev evaluated the current state of bilateral relations.
“Over the past three decades, Azerbaijan and Ukraine have built a solid foundation for reliable relations and cooperation,” the ambassador said.
He thanked Azerbaijan for its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and also emphasized the important role of inter-parliamentary missions of the two countries in strengthening cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres.
“Economic relations between our countries continue to develop. We would also like to express our gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people for the next humanitarian aid package to Ukraine worth $1 million,” the diplomat noted.
Husyev also thanked Azerbaijan for its support in humanitarian demining in Ukraine and expressed hope for future cooperation in this area. He also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian children affected by the war.
